Data Sharing
For the use of INSPIRE-relevant spatial data sets and services by the institutions of the European Commission there are requirements for the licence models to be used. The Member States allow the European institutions and bodies access to spatial data sets and services under harmonised conditions.
What has to be done?
If you, as a data provider, wish to hand over your INSPIRE-relevant spatial data sets and services to the institutions of the European Commission, licence models must be used that meet the requirements of the regulation on the access to spatial data sets and services of the Member States by Community institutions and bodies under harmonised conditions.
Examples of such licence models (so-called INSPIRE Licences) can be found in the associated Technical Guidance document.
Documents and further Information
The Regulation by the Comission for implementing the INSPIRE Directive regarding the access to spatial data sets and services of the Member States by Community institutions and bodies under harmonised conditions entered into force on 19.04.2010. The Regulation is directly applicable in each Member State and regulates what has to be implemented.
For the concrete technical implementation of the implementing rules, the accompanying "Technical Guidance documents" are particularly relevant. They show how the implementing rules can be implemented.
